There are still some pieces at Dowling Walsh from my October show. Quidley & Company has a few paintings, including two that they took to November's Boston International Art Fine Art Show. Yesterday I shipped Clear to Gallery Henoch in New York for their upcoming group show. I recently finished a commission for a family in Philadelphia and am in the midst of a commission for a couple in southern Maine. And believe it or not, I've already started to work on paintings for my July 2014 solo show at Dowling Walsh. Nothing helps a Mainer get through a cold winter like plans for the coming summer.

Beautiful painting, David. I like the contemplative mood and the blue sky moving through the painting in various spots - particularly the rear fender, bringing the eye back to the figure. I like the genre of pickup trucks. Keep it real (downeast)!
ReplyDeleteThis is honestly a perfect composition and an amazing work of art. What a feast of different materials represented here - all exquisitely. The rule of 3rds enforced, the main subject just slightly off-center creating a tiny bit of visual tension. Still life arrangement fantastic. I don't think I could love this painting any more. And that blue is sublime.
